Full pound bags!
Thank you Cortez for providing us with the perfect cup of coffee every morning and afternoon. Also, the shipping is so fast, when we ran out and I panicked and moved up our ship date, it arrived the next day!
I’ve become a coffee snob thanks to Cortez. Prior to finding this coffee roaster, I would purchase coffee at several different “chain” coffee shops. There is no comparison to their coffee. The “clean” taste from Cortez is definitely noticed. Beans from the “chain” tastes dirty and stale. I absolutely LOVE the Nepal coffee and is my “go to” always for my 4:00pm latte! The coffee is clean and smooth, EVERY TIME! I would (and have) always recommend Cortez and if you need help deciding, chose the sampler pack and find your favorite!
This is a wonderful ful bodied coffee that I've fixed on my stove top expresso pot. I love it with milk for a tasty Latte! I bought expresso beans too! I'll try them next! I also need to try the chocolate! The service was great! Thank you!
My husband and I tried out several different blends and they were all delicious. We particularly like the Primo and French Roast and will be ordering more. This is some of the best coffee you can get in the valley! Processing and shipping is fast and easy.
In the interest of transparency, I know the owners of this company and consider them good friends. Having said that, I know lots of people who flog a variety of products but I rarely review. This company has excellent coffee and their new chocolate line is out of this world, but that alone is not why I am writing this review. Its about kindness, honor., trust and confidence. It's about their work ethic. Not a single step is taken without considering the people who grow the coffee and cacao, the people who will be consuming it, and the earth that must deal with their packaging and by products of production. I've simply never see a company perform with such complete integrity. So enjoy your coffee and your chocolate, and know that it is created with the good of all in mind.
So we tried this at a farmers market while we were visiting in Oregon, I have to order it on-line because we can't buy it here in Idaho. On those mornings when we need a little extra kick 'in the pants' I add a teaspoon full of the Mr. Coffee with our regular coffee, it not only fires up the day, but it tastes pretty amazing! The taste on it's own is kinda weak for those who love the taste of coffee so adding it to your regular coffee you get the best of both worlds! Give it a try :)
Ron and his crew have been so helpful and informative over the years. The selection of green coffee beans for personal roasting is excellent and dealing with Cortez has a bit of a good "down home" feel to it. Plus, Ron took the time to instruct me in the art of roasting cocoa beans and then processing them into chocolate--a great hobby with benefits to share with many friends. Thanks, Ron!
I decided to venture out and check out another type of coffee from Cortez, and when I looked at this coffee I was intrigued. I personally love San Francisco, there's nothing like being on the warf and smelling all the life around it. This coffee brings that to your home. It's versatile and very tasty regardless of how you brew it. I've tried it with a French Press, regular coffee drip, and through my espresso maker. It makes a great cold coffee, and also a great cappuccino! This coffee definitely can provide an experience with the senses and make you feel as if you are sitting on the warf drinking some amazing coffee! The smell of the beans is phenomenal and when they are freshly ground and used, the smell is even more magnificent. I have, now, added this to my Subscription from Cortez, so that I will not be without! Thanks again Ron Cortez and Crew, you have knocked it out of PNC Park!
I sampled the Mr. White, the House Blend, and the San Francisco Experience. All were great. I did realize that I am more of a med-dark roast fan, the ulta light roast of Mr. White was different, it lacked the bitter roasty flavor I'm fond of, however, it did give a new dimension to other coffees when I'd mix them and it definitely gave a caffeine kick.
The House Blend and SF Experience were both fantastic, I think the House Blend was my favorite. All great coffees and I loved the sample sizes so I could try things out. I'll be ordering more of the House Blend for sure and likely the SF Experience. Thanks again!!
We have been buying your coffee for many years and have found no better anywhere else! This was our first experience having it shipped, normally we drive in from Maricopa to buy it in your store. While this was very smooth and convenient, I would say we might do a little of both, as we would miss not see both Ron and Kevin in person 😊 Have a great day and keep up the great work you are doing!
This is the most memorable coffee I have ever tried. It is so delicious, and unbelievably smooth. I love this coffee so much! Highly recommend it to anyone seeking a novel flavor profile.
I've been on a quest for a long time to find some really good Espresso to enjoy in the morning. I was eating a restaurant a while ago that had Cortez Primo Espresso as their coffee, and I was hooked. I've been purchasing 2 bags every 2 weeks on a rotation for several years now, and love it! The way Cortez makes their Primo is spectacular! I would spend my last dollar to make sure that I had some Primo Espresso. I've tried other Espresso's from other places and nothing compares to the amazing flavor that is provided by this Espresso. Whenever it's cut up and ready to put into my Espresso maker, the coffee just smells like heaven. One of the best smells ever, and then the taste is even better. I couldn't start my day any other way, than the Primo way via Cortez! Thanks guys for making pure Coffee Gold!
I have been getting my coffee from Cortez for years. And it is always very tasty. The subscription service through the mail is an added bonus in this time of pandemic! I love a good local business. Keep it up Ron and crew.
The French Roast from Cortez is the best I've ever had. This is why I buy it on a 2 week rotation from them! I've actually contemplated getting more because I run out too fast sometimes, and if my delivery is late, then I start to freak out because I have to use some "other" brand that isn't close to the flavor. Cortez....there's nothing better!
Something you wanted to last forever. Not hooked on, but a taste alertness for every day active life.
It feels good that earth soil gave this kind of production to mankind.
The intelligence of man who used active volcano soil to grow fresh coffee from.
Love it and I can't imagine living without it.

introducing sources magazine
SOURCES is a publication devoted to sharing comprehensive stories from different parts of the coffee producing world. These stories bring both positive and negative current events to light. The magazine takes an initial interest in coffee producing regions or producers implementing sustainable practices; then delves deeper into complex situations that need to be shared with the outside world.
We partnered with the Sources Magazine team to help bring Issue 1 into fruition by connecting them to our partner Matti at Cameroon Boyo. 100% of magazine profits will go directly to our friends at Cameroon.
The primary motive of this issue is to bring insight into the turmoil and instability facing the English, or Anglophone region of Cameroon, from an experienced perspective.
